Terms & Conditions

Effective: 1 August 2026

Please read these Terms before using Cento.

The Cento app is available worldwide. The BP Check-Up is available only in the United States, because it involves care from a licensed clinician. Sections 6, 7, and 17 apply only to members in the United States. Section 2 sets out what applies where.

If you are in the United States, these Terms include an agreement to resolve disputes by arbitration on an individual basis, and a waiver of your right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action. Section 17 explains this, and explains how to opt out within 30 days. That section does not apply if you are outside the United States.

Cento is not for emergencies. If you think you are having a medical emergency, call your local emergency number, such as 911 in the United States, 112 across Europe and the United Kingdom, or 999 in the United Kingdom, or go to the nearest emergency department immediately.

1. Who we are and what these Terms cover

"Cento", "we", "us" and "our" mean FIRST TO SMILE HOLDINGS LTD, trading as Cento Care, 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom, contactable at hello@centocare.com.

These Terms are a contract between you and Cento. They cover the Cento website at centocare.com, the Cento mobile apps for iOS and Android, and everything you can do through them, together called the Service.

Three other documents work alongside these Terms:

  • The Privacy Policy at centocare.com/legal/privacy explains how we handle your information.

  • The Health Data Consent at centocare.com/legal/health-data-consent is the separate consent you give at sign up for us to process your health data. It is a consent, not part of this contract, and you can withdraw it at any time.

  • The Telehealth Informed Consent at centocare.com/legal/telehealth-consent covers your clinical care and is a separate agreement between you and the licensed clinicians who review your BP Check-Ups. You accept it separately, each time you submit a BP Check-Up.

If these Terms conflict with the Telehealth Informed Consent about your clinical care, the Telehealth Informed Consent governs.

2. Accepting these Terms, and who can use Cento

By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

To use the Cento app you must:

  • be at least 18 years old,

  • provide accurate information about yourself and keep it current, and

  • be somewhere the app is lawfully available. We make no claim that Cento is appropriate or available in every country, and if you use it from somewhere we do not serve, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for your local law.

Cento is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

2.1 What applies where

Everywhere: the Cento app, its readings log, insights, trends, Action Plan, and content. These are free.

United States only: memberships, payment, and the BP Check-Up. Nothing in Cento can be purchased outside the United States. Sections 6 and 7, and the arbitration agreement in section 17, apply only to members in the United States.

A BP Check-Up also requires you to be in a state we serve. A clinician can only review it if they are licensed where you are. Section 6.4 explains this.

3. What Cento is, and what it is not

Cento helps you record blood pressure readings, understand patterns in them over time, and follow lifestyle and wellness programmes.

Cento is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.

Everything in the app outside a clinician's written assessment is for general wellness and information only. That includes your insights, your trends, your Action Plan, and all articles and audio content. It is not medical advice, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified health professional.

Cento does not measure your blood pressure. Readings come from a blood pressure monitor you use yourself. We do not use your phone's sensors to measure blood pressure, and no feature of the Service claims to.

Always talk to your doctor or another qualified health professional about your health, before starting or stopping any treatment or medication, and before making decisions based on anything you see in Cento.

4. Emergencies

The Service is not monitored in real time and is never appropriate for an emergency.

If you think you are having a medical emergency, call your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency department immediately. Do not wait for a BP Check-Up assessment or any response from us.

5. Your account

You are responsible for your account and for anything done through it. Keep your sign in details private and tell us at hello@centocare.com if you think someone else has used your account.

Your account is personal to you. Do not share it, and do not use it on behalf of anyone else.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently, or where we are required to by law.

6. Membership

Sections 6 and 7 apply only to members in the United States. Memberships are not sold anywhere else, and there is nothing to buy in the Cento app or on our website if you are outside the United States.

6.1 What a membership includes

A Cento membership entitles you to a stated number of BP Check-Ups, each reviewed by a licensed clinician who prepares a written assessment. Depending on the membership you buy, it may also include a blood pressure monitor delivered to you, and a blood test panel.

The BP Check-Up is a real world professional service. What is included in each membership is described at centocare.com at the time you buy.

The Cento app itself, including its readings log, insights, and lifestyle content, is free. A membership does not unlock app content or app features.

6.2 Where you buy a membership

Memberships are sold only at centocare.com, and payment is processed by Stripe. You cannot buy a membership inside the Cento mobile apps, and Apple and Google are not parties to your purchase and are not involved in it in any way.

6.3 Activation codes

After you buy, we email you an activation code. Entering it in the app links your membership to your account.

Activation codes:

  • may be used once, by one account,

  • are personal to you and may not be sold, transferred, or given away,

  • may be cancelled if the purchase is refunded or charged back, and

  • do not by themselves entitle you to anything if the underlying purchase is reversed.

6.4 Where BP Check-Ups are available

A BP Check-Up can only be reviewed by a clinician licensed in the state where you are located. We sell memberships only into states where we have a licensed clinician available, and we check this before you buy.

If you move to a state we cannot serve, tell us at hello@centocare.com. You will not be able to submit BP Check-Ups from that state, and we will discuss a refund of the unused part of your membership with you.

Keep the state on your profile accurate. Submitting a BP Check-Up from a state you have not recorded may mean it cannot be reviewed.

7. Prices, billing, renewal, and cancellation

7.1 Prices and payment

Prices are shown at centocare.com before you buy, in US dollars, and exclude any applicable tax. By buying, you authorise us to charge your chosen payment method for the amount shown, plus tax.

We may change prices at any time. A price change never affects a purchase already made, and for a renewing membership we will tell you before the change takes effect.

7.2 Memberships that renew automatically

Some memberships renew automatically. Where they do, we tell you clearly before you buy, and you consent to the renewal separately from accepting these Terms.

If you buy a renewing membership:

  • We charge your payment method automatically at the start of each renewal period, at the price and interval shown when you bought, until you cancel.

  • We email you a confirmation after you buy, restating the renewal terms and how to cancel.

  • For memberships renewing yearly, we email you a reminder before each renewal.

7.3 How to cancel

You can cancel at any time, online, in the same place you signed up. Go to your account at centocare.com and cancel there, or email hello@centocare.com. Cancelling takes no more steps than signing up did.

Cancelling stops future charges. It does not refund a charge already made, and your membership continues until the end of the period you have paid for.

Deleting your Cento app account does not cancel your membership. Cancel at centocare.com separately.

7.4 Refunds

If your membership includes BP Check-Ups you have not used, contact hello@centocare.com and we will consider a refund of the unused part. We will always refund in full where we cannot deliver the service you bought, including where we have no clinician licensed in your state.

Nothing here limits any refund right you have under the law of your state.

8. Content you provide

You keep ownership of everything you put into Cento: your readings, your notes, your answers, and anything you upload.

You give us permission to use it to run the Service for you, which includes storing it, showing it back to you, preparing your BP Check-Up assessments, and improving how the Service works. We handle it as described in the Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your information, and we never use your health information for advertising.

Do not put anything into Cento that is unlawful, that infringes someone else's rights, or that belongs to another person without their permission.

9. Acceptable use

Do not:

  • use the Service for anyone other than yourself,

  • give false information, including about your identity, age, or location,

  • interfere with the Service, attempt to access parts of it you are not entitled to, or work around any technical limit,

  • copy, resell, or redistribute the Service or its content, or

  • use the Service in any way that breaks the law.

10. Cento's content

The Service and everything in it, including its software, text, images, audio, design, and branding, belongs to us or to the people who licensed it to us. You may use it for your own personal, non commercial use while these Terms are in force. Nothing else is permitted without our written agreement.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely and without owing you anything.

11. Apple and Google

This section applies to the Cento mobile apps.

  1. These Terms are between you and Cento only. Apple and Google are not parties to them and are not responsible for the apps or their content.

  2. Your licence to use the app is a non transferable licence to use it on devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service or Google Play Terms of Service.

  3. Cento alone is responsible for support and maintenance. Apple and Google have no obligation to provide any.

  4. Cento alone is responsible for any warranty. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price of the app if any. Apple has no other warranty obligation, and any other claim is Cento's responsibility.

  5. Cento alone is responsible for any claim about the app, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet a legal requirement, and claims under consumer protection or privacy law.

  6. Cento alone is responsible for investigating and resolving any third party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights.

  7. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as terrorist supporting, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

  8. Cento's name and contact details for questions, complaints, and claims are in section 1.

  9. You must comply with any applicable third party terms when using the app.

  10. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third party beneficiaries of these Terms, and on your acceptance of them Apple has the right to enforce them against you.

12. Changes to the Service and to these Terms

We may change, suspend, or withdraw any part of the Service. We may change these Terms.

If a change materially affects you, we will tell you before it takes effect, by email or in the app. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the change. If you do not accept it, stop using the Service and cancel any membership.

13. Ending your use of Cento

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app, in Settings, or by emailing hello@centocare.com. You can also request deletion at centocare.com/delete-account without opening the app.

When you delete your account:

  • Your account and the information in it are deleted.

  • Clinical records are kept, because the law of your state requires it. They stay with the clinicians who reviewed your BP Check-Ups and are not used for anything else.

  • We keep what we must for tax, accounting, and legal purposes.

  • Your membership is not cancelled. Cancel it separately at centocare.com.

We may end your access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms.

14. Disclaimers

The Service is provided as it is and as available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error free, or secure, or that any insight, trend, or piece of content is accurate or suitable for you.

Nothing in these Terms excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and nothing here limits the rights you have under the mandatory consumer protection law of the country or state where you live. If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything in these Terms.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data.

  • Our total liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or 100 US dollars.

Some states and countries do not allow some of these exclusions. Where that applies to you, they do not apply. We never exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded where you live.

This section does not limit the liability of any clinician for their professional care. That is covered by the Telehealth Informed Consent and by the law of your state.

16. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against any claim, loss, or cost arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service. This does not apply to anything caused by us.

17. Dispute resolution

Please read this section carefully. It affects how disputes between us are resolved.

17.0 Which part applies to you

Sections 17.1 to 17.6 apply only if you live in the United States. If you live anywhere else, only section 17.7 applies to you, and you are not agreeing to arbitration or waiving any right to a court or to a class action.

17.1 Talk to us first

Before starting arbitration, email hello@centocare.com describing the problem and what you want. Give us 60 days to resolve it. Most problems are settled this way.

17.2 Agreement to arbitrate, United States only

If we cannot resolve it, you and we agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, and governed by the Federal Arbitration Act. Arbitration takes place in the county where you live, or remotely, at your choice.

This means you and we are giving up the right to a court trial and to a jury.

17.3 What is not covered

This section does not apply to:

  • claims either of us may bring in small claims court,

  • either party seeking an injunction to stop intellectual property misuse, or

  • any claim that the law of your state does not permit to be arbitrated. In particular, nothing here waives any claim under the Washington My Health My Data Act or the California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act, or any right to bring such a claim in court.

17.4 No class actions

You and we may each bring claims only individually, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, consolidated, or representative action. An arbitrator may not consolidate claims or preside over any form of representative proceeding.

If this paragraph is found unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim, and only that claim, goes to court, and the rest of this section still applies to everything else.

17.5 Many similar claims

If 25 or more similar claims are brought against us by or with the help of the same lawyers, they will be arbitrated in batches of no more than 50, with a single arbitrator per batch, and neither side pays filing fees for claims outside the current batch until that batch is decided.

17.6 How to opt out

You can opt out of this arbitration agreement. Email hello@centocare.com with the subject line "Arbitration Opt Out", within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, giving your name and the email on your account. Opting out costs you nothing and does not affect anything else in these Terms or your use of the Service.

17.7 If you live outside the United States

You are not agreeing to arbitration and you are not waiving any right to go to court or to take part in a group action.

Please email hello@centocare.com first, so we can try to put things right. If we cannot, you may bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, and you may also bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live, if the law there gives you that right. We may only bring a claim against you in the courts of the country where you live.

If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area, you can also use the online dispute resolution platform provided by the European Commission, and your national consumer protection body.

18. Governing law

If you live in the United States, these Terms are governed by the law of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law rules, except that the Federal Arbitration Act governs section 17.

If you live anywhere else, these Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

In every case, nothing here deprives you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country or state where you live. If that law gives you rights these Terms do not, you keep them.

19. Other terms

  • Notices. We contact you at the email on your account. Keep it current. Contact us at hello@centocare.com.

  • Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours in a merger, reorganisation, or sale of the business, or to an affiliated company, including to a professional entity that takes over the clinical services.

  • Severability. If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in force.

  • No waiver. If we do not enforce a right, we do not give it up.

  • Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and, for your clinical care, the Telehealth Informed Consent, are the whole agreement between us about the Service.
